Wait 02:09
Ask me where the air goes Underneath the willows Wait, if your desert's so high and your valley's so low, you ought to know, there is no other way that we had left to go. But when you told me of the mountain, did you think we'd touch the fountain? No you said we'd better wait, "because the Laste Wand is high, and you're feeling so low. Take it slow, have another cup of tea before you go." And if you listen very hard, you'll hear the echo of my shoes. Beneath the bush and by the bramble, took the night and slipped the candle, felt my weight, there is an Annwn you can't hide. If you feel it down below, let it grow, there is no other way the wind has left to blow.

Quayagain 03:34
Oh you tricked my skin again, let you marmalade my grin. Grown a decade in the year you let the evening in, before it could begin. Image, you're a wandering of the eye. You're wonderful you know as you've always been, let the evening sway, There is no other way. But let me breathe the Quay again, another lightest day. Everyone here lets us in, but I duck the moon and slip away, Because that's the only way. Image you're a wandering of the eye. You're wonderful you know as you've always been, let the evening sway. There is no other way, but I can feel it here again. Smoking "dope" is weird, you go up and then you go down. I've been here for years. I don't know why you're hanging around. Light me up another Johnny Cigarette. As it has been, Always will for me.

Imaging 03:14
As I went out Imaging. Called your spirit recollect, this sudden spell. Isn't it the strangest thing of all, that I should think your name, Girl. That I should think your name, Girl. Left an empty collar, drifting like an empty stream. But no more wistfully is she sitting, is she waiting, is she waiting? Isn't it the strangest thing of all, that I should think your name, Girl. Isn't it the strangest thing of all, that I should think your name, Girl.

Ancient Forest how'd you get that drawl/so tall? Drift and move about me like you ain't been there at all. Ancient Forest where am I to go? "(Go) softly to the doorstep, before the sun will rise, for the sun the moon the earth and sky, and how they've changed."

Gaofar 03:06
Memory's not so plain anymore. Yesterdays don't matter since you've slipped the door. Crystallize my vision. Even though you wander where we grow, I can feel it in my heart about you, what prisms you have led us through. Wand there if you ever realize, realize, trouble seems to scatter since you flipped the Ching too high. Crystallize my vision. Even though you wonder where we go. I can feel it in my heart about you. What prisms, you have led us through.

Shadowed candles drawn, when you're on the Land of Sonnet let the grass up to your knees. And you know what's wrong. I could be there if you let me but it's "So long." In this drift you're on, you might wonder what you are. Like the darkest diamond hits the sea, you know me. Shadowed candles lie, when you're on the Land of Sonnet let the hair into your eyes. And you know what's right. I could be there if I let me but I'm uptight. In this drift you're on, you might wonder what you are. Like the darkest diamond hits the sea, or the breeze. Tar éis trí lá, bhfuair sé fainne, in ait. Dúirt mé leat go raibh sé ann, ar a cheann.

Inis Mór 03:06
Wonder if you ever know, ever see. Ever paint the evening lavender like you showed the Quay to me. But I can see for miles, Inis free. Inis Mór before An Daingen tried to light the night on me. Wearing my foggy hat, do you like our breeze, underneath your knees? Wand there if you ever go, ever been. Ever paint the evening daffodil like a vulture in the breeze. But I heard you like to Camelot (I can see your I-don't-knows)Crystal knees/I can't be Nickle Wildflower I saw you, Nickleflower you saw me. Wearing my foggy hat, is this what you please? Is it hash or is it cheese? Wearing my foggy hat, do you like our breeze, underneath your knees?

Foggy-I 04:08
O you wonder where the years go. Right between your foggy I-don't-want-to-know. Drift into a dream about me now before you go. All hung up between your I-don't-know's, The Lady of the Daffodils caught you looking in her yard. But I can see you clearer now, right beside the eiderdown. Wander right beneath the guard, Image seems to trickle but she also runs the show. Still I can see you clearer now, beside the Bitterroot flower.

We finally found our way to the crooked canyon. I didn't think it take such a long, long time. Built ourselves a bridge out of pebbles and rocks and branches. The old tree was laughing because we used his granddaddy's bones. We were drinking from the crystal water, dreaming of the river's daughter. We finally caught a glimpse of the crystal palace. I didn't think it'd look so empty from the outside in. And I thought it was a dream when the music started all around me. The whole lake was singing a melody I had in my mind. We were drinking from the crystal waters, dreaming of the river's daughter.

"On their most recent full-length, 2017’s Richard’s Selections, Ancient Forest master an introspective strain of burbling songcraft that eases tensions and evokes the green sanctuary their name suggests. It’s full of deep, lo-fidelity pleasures." -Stranger ... more
